People ask about house clearings all the time. I think its time to answer some of the recurring questions and tell you what you can do yourself.
Lets start by establishing what level of clearing you need.
Is it just that you feel the house is a little "fugerly" or your moving into a new home? Or maybe you have had guests that left a bad feeling behind them? This is A easy level to achieve yourself. Many people offer to come and do a clearing of this level for free. This level of clearing is what I would clarify as a house blessing. Maybe a little holy water or burning of sage. A little prayer? This is often all you need if the problem is mild. You can do much of this yourself. Put on music that lifts the energy in the house, light some candles, burn some sage or moldivite incense and celebrate the space. Give thanks to the space for sheltering you.
This raises a couple of questions. "Why burn sage?". Sage, especially desert dried sage has clearing qualities. You light the bundle of sage, then blow out the flame. The smoke is what clears. Turn off your smoke detectors while you do this. Keep the windows closed till after your finished. Blow or wave the sage smoke into the corners and extra fugerly spots.
Why candles? The flame balances the energy. If the candle wont light, you probably have bigger problems than just fugerly energy.
What music? Something uplifting, I normally use enya or peace chants. Think back to times you have heard music that made your heart smile, thats the piece of music to use.
Next level Issues. "Bigger House clearings" These can range from " the kids wont sleep in there', "That room just makes me feel uncomfortable" to "Lights are turning on and off by themselves and stuff is moving around the room by itself" This is when you probably need a little help.
There are a few ways we can do this. Believe it or not, I can do quite allot over video chat, if you will be my hands and do what needs to be done physically. This keeps the cost down because you don't need to cover my travel time and costs. I would scan the house and send you a list of things to do before. None of these jobs are scary. For example, I wont be asking you to give a farm yard sacrifice in the moon light. More likely I will ask you to place some salt somewhere or light a candle. I have successfully cleared houses in scotland, wales, Denmark and New York, all over video chat, so much is possible this way. It also means we can often do the clearing sooner. However I will travel to you if I need to.
The third aspect of this work is "Flow adjustment". Often when I go into a house, I can feel object that hold darkness that need to be cleared. Or maybe moving a piece of furniture or something on the wall will increase the abundance or positive energy in the house. Often there is a small and affordable adjustment that can make a huge difference to feel of a space. In this case, I will make suggestions and work though the process with you. The more positive the flow, the less likely you are to attract negative entities in the space. If this is what you need, I suggest you do what you can before I come. Clean up clutter and tidy away all stagnant or dead energy. This way we are starting from the best possible space. However, if you are unable to do this, don't worry, I won't judge. Just do the best you can and we will go from there together.
Here are some things you can do yourself.
- Salt will absorb negativity. You can either create a circle of salt around the house or property or place little bowls of it in negative spaces. Do not just sprinkle it around inside. It also attracts moisture and will make your floor feel wet.
- TIp out any containers of stagnant water.
- When you stand at your front door and look out, make sure everything you can see on your property is tidy, Move the rubbish bins out of sight.
- Burn desert dried sage and let the smoke clear the negative energy.
How much do I charge for a clearing?, How Long will it take? Unfortunately this is a "how long is a piece of string" type of question. So all I can give you is a ball park figure. You are welcome to ring me for a closer idea.
Ball Park is - there will be at least 2 of us coming to you. Myself and a helper. Our "labour cost" is $90 per hour. Then you need to add in petrol to get to you and maybe some materials. Some material, like sage, candles, salt etc, is included. If the house needs crystals or bigger items to rebalance, then I will make a recommendation and let you work within your budget. For a small 3 bedroom house with section, I would expect to be there for around 2 hours, unless its really spooky lol.
I can do quite a lot over video messengering, if you are able to do the physical aspect for me. This means burning sage or ringing a bell or lighting a candle etc. This saves you money on petrol. I have done house clearings in New York, Denmark, Australia and the U.K over video calls.
